Power is everything

“Now when I talk about discipline, I’m talking about power.”

I think that the teacher Ben Ross is talking about power and explaining it to the students more than it should be. All that power that Ben Ross is controlling will later be abused by him. Later on the students will take all that control into their own hands. The only student I think that would be taking and abusing that control is a student named Robert Billings. Robert may be the quiet one but he has gotten into the control of what Ben Ross has been talking about. Although Ben Ross has been controlling his students and and it seems that he has gotten all the power into head and hands. All the students are just going with it while less people are disagreeing with Ben Ross but the will still do as Ben said.

This quote, especially the power part, reminded me of Hitler and the Nazi party. Hitler has gained power when he gained control of Germany. His power led him make a powerful army and take over other countries. Hitler and the Nazis used their power to make other countries go against Jews by using propaganda. Hitler used his power to order the Jews to go to the Ghetto, death camps, or concentration camps. (click on the link to learn more about these topics).  And in the story Ben Ross has taken control of his students by following his orders. All his students have followed into the power. The quote also reminds me of Osama Bin Laden on his 9/11 attack on the United States. Bin laden has the power on his group to cause an attack like 9/11 to happen. He gave orders to attack the U.S even though there would has been a loss to one of his members. The quote also reminded me of President Barack Obama but in a good way. He also used his power to attack Osama for the attack that he has done to the U.S. Obama ordered Seal Team Six to take out Osama. Obama did it with the power that he had but, Obama control his power in a good way and used it in good reasons and understandings. Now back on The Wave Mr. Ross is taking control of his students with the power he has. The Wave is rising like the Nazi Party because members of the Wave is spreading the word about The Wave. If you had the power will you take it over the limits like most people do?
