Thank you

The book The Wave really kept me entertained and want to keep reading. I was actually sad when the book ended because I wanted to know more about the Wave and what happened after the Wave thing ended. Although the book was slightly slow and didn’t have much action I still had a enjoyable experience. Conformity was the biggest theme in the novel The Wave because all the Wave members conformed to Mr. Ross, when we created the salute and motto everyone said it and followed every rule Mr. Ross told them. If Mr. Ross told them to do a certain action the Wave members would follow it. Silence and Fear also played a big role in the book many of the Wave members did realize what was going on but were afraid if they did not go along with the group they would be rejected so they stayed silent.

I really enjoyed this project. It was very fun to blog and to read a book that I probably wouldn’t have read. I’ve learned that being a bystander is never the option because if we don’t do anything about what is happening we are feeding the fire and are to blame because we did not stop or help the cause. I think this is very important for teenagers to learn because the more older you get the more problems arise and the more fights occur but with this knowledge you know that this is wrong and must be stopped. I really appreciate all that have contributed to the blogging. Thank you everyone for helping and taking your time to teach us a valuable lesson we’ll never forget.

Thankyou - Zaid -

  1. I completely agree with you, I think the old you get the more problems arise. Because as you get older there is more thing to be responsible, and you have to follow, rule more carefully. When you turn 16 you can drive and at 18 your consisted an adult. Learning as teenage is better than learning as an adult because as a teen it is easier to break habits then if you try when your older. Being a by standard is just as bad because it's like you're supporting what is going on.

  2. I agree with the part where you say that being a bystander is never the option. Being a bystander is just as bad as being a part of it. The people that did not do anything to stop it, in my opinion, should feel guilty. Instead of all those people being bystanders, they could have tried doing something about it. Standing in the side lines shouldn't even be an option. Taking action should be. If all the people that were part of The Wave would've helped instead of being part of it, they probably could have had a chance at stopping it. Silence and fear should not have had an impact on the people's decision of not taking action. If they would have done something, they could have helped thousands of people. Not trying to stop a bad situation that is going on, is like helping and supporting the situation.
