Resistance movement

I define resistance as someone fighting back, standing up for what he believes in and not giving up from something or someone. Jews fought back with trying to have normal lives in the ghettos and camps or in hiding because they showed that whatever the Nazis did to them they were not going to give up or give in to them or give up life. Partisans played big roles in the Jewish resistance, Partisans units were guerrilla fighters in occupied territories. Partisans organized secret resistance units to fight back and attacked the Nazi controlled areas.  Non-Jewish resistance groups smuggled in weapons to the Jews or Partisans from town to protect the Jews from the Nazi forces. Non-Jewish resistance also hid some Jews from the Nazis forces. I think the Jewish and non-Jewish resistance was great, they fought to show that they weren’t giving up, they were still alive and  human beings that were meant to be here on earth. The Partisans risked their lives to save others which is one the best things someone could do. The resistance also helped keep people alive so that even today we have survivors from the Holocaust to talk to us about their experiences. In my opinion the Jews won -  not the Nazis -  because they were strong throughout everything.

  1. Zaid, I agree when you said "Jews fought back with trying to have normal lives in the ghettos and camps or in hiding because they showed that whatever the Nazis did to them they were not going to give up or give in to them or give up life."
