To Save a Life

I think that this quote means that if you save one life it is one more person that will survive. I think that what the author is trying to say is that if everyone saves one person the we can save the entire world. I can relate this to the Holocaust because people hid the Jews and because that was happening on a large scale it save a lot of Jewish people. For example the most famous story about hiding Jews is the story of Anne Frank. She lived in the Netherlands and was hid by Miep Gies until she was caught and killed. This also reminds me of a current problem and that is bullying. if one kid stands up for another kid being bullied it can potentially save that kids life or stop the bully from bullying anymore. Also Hitler was just a big bully to the Jewish people and the Nazis. I never really thought about Hitler bullying the Nazis but he pressured the Nazis into doing what he wanted, and killing millions of people. Just because Hitler bullied the Nazis doesn't mean that they all followed what he said. In The Pianist, Wladyslaw was hiding in a house occupied by the Nazis and a Nazi found him but instead of killing him he fed him and didn't tell anyone else. I think that the part from The Pianist shows that even Nazis helped save Jews.
